semi-double. Vigorous, spreading growth. Blooms mid-season. Synonyms: ‘May Watson’,

‘Mrs Fritz Saunders’. The parent plant is in Magnolia Gardens, John’s Island, South Carolina,

USA and is said to have originally been imported from Europe. However the modern cultivar
